The Irish Gardener's NutriChar
A certified organic biochar plant food and soil improver, developed for Irish garden conditions.
NutriChar is made using a patented process that locks nutrients into the biochar structure rather than allowing them to wash away. That is what makes it different from standard plant feeds: it improves how the soil functions, not just what is in it.
To find out what it does and how to use it before you buy, see the full NutriChar page. For why Irish soils in particular benefit from biochar, read what is biochar?
The stockist list is growing. NutriChar is being introduced to more garden centres across Ireland, and this page is updated as each new stockist is confirmed.
How to ask your local garden centre
If your garden centre does not have The Irish Gardener's NutriChar, it is always worth asking for it by name. Garden centres respond to customer demand, and when enough people ask for a specific product, it gets stocked.
- Ask for it by its full name: The Irish Gardener's NutriChar
- Mention it is a certified organic biochar plant food and soil improver
- Let them know it is part of The Irish Gardener range
- If they want to know more, point them to theirishgardener.com
Once centres see their customers asking for it, they stock it. If you want it available near you, ask for it by name.
Two sizes to suit every garden
Both sizes contain the same certified organic biochar blend. The difference is volume.

14 litre bag
The better-value choice for beds, borders, hedges and lawns across a typical Irish garden, and for repeat seasonal use. A larger 10kg size is also available online through Sprout Plants.
